Cox Unveils Wireless in Roanoke and Northern VA

Cox Communications officially introduced its "Unbelievably Fair " mobile phone and high-speed Internet service in Roanoke and Northern Virginia.

The addition of these markets completes Cox's rollout of wireless service in Virginia. Late last year, Hampton Roads, Va. was one of the company's first markets to launch Cox Wireless.
The Company said Cox Wireless is also available in Omaha, Neb., Orange County, Calif., Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla., Rhode Island and Cox communities in Connecticut and Cleveland, Ohio. By the end of this year, Cox Wireless will be available in more than 50 percent of its footprint, including San Diego and Santa Barbara, Calif., Topeka and Wichita, Kansas and much of Northwest Arkansas.

"Our customers tell us every day that they would like to add wireless service to their Cox bundle," said Kelly Williams, Cox's vice president of wireless products and operations. "We are very excited to bring our fair approach to wireless to consumers in Roanoke and Northern Virginia. We've taken a unique approach to add extra value to our wireless offer and it's resonating with consumers."

According to a release, the addition of wireless to Cox's existing bundle of video, Internet and landline telephone services brings a value proposition to consumers and introduces greater ease in integrating home and mobile services.

Its Bundle Benefits provides a free upgrade to customers who bundle two or more Cox services, such as a free premium channel or Movie Pak, high speed Internet upgrade, free unlimited long distance with Cox Digital Telephone service or earlier unlimited weeknight calling on Cox Wireless.
